Belmont is a key town centre in Lake Macquarie, located on the eastern shores of the lake, on the Pacific Highway. Belmont offers many recreational activities to keep everyone entertained, from cruising the lake to a round of golf or just relaxing on the nearby beaches or by the lake. Belmont was established in the early 1860s and was named after the birthplace of Thomas Williamson, the third settler of the district.
