Wee Waa is located 42kms West of Narrabri on the Kamilaroi Highway.It is an easy 30 minute drive through attractive,rich fertile country.The Kamilaroi Highway follows the banks of the picturesque Namoi River,the lifeline to the communitys agricultural pursuits. Wee Waa is one of the leading Cotton growing areas in Australia, in fact it is known as the Cotton Capital of Australia.

Wee Waa has a history of great distinction.
It is the oldest town in the Namoi River and was home to many pioneering families as early as 1837.
A wander around the old graves of the Cemetary will allow you to ponder on the hard times which some of these pioneers endured.

The towns architecture is most interesting. The Imperial Hotel was the first Three storey structure to be built in the North West NSW and features magnificent Iron lace.
Wee Waa is serviced by the Countrylink Rail Road Service on Mondays and Fridays.
The Wee Waa Museum located in Rose Street Opened in early 2006.
