Nimbin

Nimbin is situated on the doorstep of a World Heritage listed rainforest, Nightcap National Park.

In 1973, Nimbin became the focus of national attention with the now famous Aquarius Festival. Out of this a new, alternative community was born. Today, it is this culture for which Nimbin is known. Visitors are treated to a glimpse of the 'Spirit of Aquarius' in the main street, with its colourful facade and psychedelic murals.
